HALL of fame

The Hall of Fame museum, located on the Leh-Kargil Road, is a tribute to Indian soldiers who sacrificed their lives in the Indo-Pak wars. The two-story museum has various sections showcasing weapons, apparel, and amenities used by the Indian Army, as well as pictures and accounts of the Kargil War. A poignant section, "Lest We Forget," displays photographs of martyred soldiers. A projection room screens a documentary on "Operation Vijay." A moving exhibit is the "Last Post," a letter written by Captain Vijayant Thapar to his parents before his martyrdom. The museum also features a section on Ladakh's history and culture, a souvenir shop, and a photo studio. The museum is open from 9 AM to 1 PM and 2 PM to 7 PM. It serves as a reminder of the sacrifices made by Indian soldiers and their bravery in defending the nation.
