Hari Parbat Mahal

Hari Parbat, a historic hill in Srinagar, holds immense spiritual significance in Hinduism. According to ancient legend, the area was once inhabited by a powerful daemon (asura) named Jalodbhava, who terrorized the locals. Seeking divine intervention, the people prayed to Goddess Parvati for salvation.
In response, Goddess Parvati transformed into a bird and dropped a small pebble (known as a "Shila" or "Kula") on the daemon's head, defeating him and liberating the region from his tyranny. This mythological event is deeply revered by Hindus, who consider Hari Parbat a sacred site, symbolizing the triumph of good over evil.
The legend has been passed down through generations, and the pebble dropped by Goddess Parvati is believed to be the source of the hill's spiritual power. Hari Parbat remains a revered destination for Hindu devotees, who visit the site to pay homage and seek blessings from the divine
