Moti Mahal Palace

Moti Mahal, constructed between 1926 and 1936 AD, is one of the finest buildings in Poonch, showcasing the grandeur of the Dogra Rajas of Poonch principality. This magnificent complex, spanning 145 kanals of land, was built at a cost of Rs. 9.01 lakhs, a significant amount at that time. The palace, designed in the Scottish style of architecture, was initiated by Raja Sukhdev Singh (1922-1927) under the supervision of English Engineer Mr. Anderson and completed by Raja Jagat Dev Singh in 1935.
Currently, the palace is in the possession of the Army, standing as a testament to Poonch's rich cultural and architectural heritage. Its grandeur and beauty continue to inspire, making it a significant landmark in the region."
