Lolab valley

Named in honor of Maharaja Lolo, Lolab Valley is a breathtaking expanse of lush green forests and pastures, stretching 25 kilometers from north-west to south-east, with a varying breadth of a few yards to 5 kilometers. The valley is crisscrossed by the gentle Lalkul stream, fed by numerous tributaries from the surrounding hills, which are cloaked in dense Deodar forests. The valley's unique features include its average depth of 7 to 15 feet, the mystical Sat Barran (Seven doors), and a cave in the jungles of Madmadav. Anderbaugh village is home to the revered Lov-nag, while Varnow village, the birthplace of Allama Anwar Shah Kashmiri, adds to the valley's historical significance.
Lolab Valley boasts a well-developed infrastructure and seamless connectivity, providing easy access to Machil, famous for its breathtaking Rangil waterfall. This picturesque valley has been a magnet for the Bollywood fraternity, saints, poets, and philosophers for centuries. Other notable places with immense potential include Chandigam, Dooruswani, Khurhama, Krusan, Khomrial, Nagsari, and Cherkoot, making Lolab Valley a treasure trove of natural beauty and historical significance.
