Bahu Fort, Jammu

Perched atop a hill, the ancient Bahu Fort in Jammu is a historic treasure believed to have been originally built by Raja Bahu Lochan around 3,000 years ago. The fort underwent refurbishment by the Dogra rulers in the 19th century, blending its rich past with a touch of modernity. This revered fort is a sacred site, housing the "Bawey Wali Mata temple" dedicated to the Hindu goddess Kali, the presiding deity of Jammu.
Just beneath the fort lies the stunning Bagh-e-Bahu Garden, designed in the style of Mughal gardens. This terraced garden offers a panoramic view of Jammu city and features an underground fish aquarium, adding to its charm. Bahu Fort is a must-visit destination for anyone interested in history, architecture, and spirituality, offering a glimpse into Jammu's rich cultural heritage."
