Purthu Beach

Purthu Beach is an artificial beach on the right bank of River Ravi (Ranji Sagar Dam). It is in Basohli town in Kathua district in Jammu and Kashmir. This place is 12 kms off Pathankot - Jalandhar highway. If you are visiting Dalhousie, Dharmshala you have to take a 12 km diversion to visit this beautiful place.
One has to cross Atal Setu- it connects Punjab with J&K. This beach is on J&K side. Big beach with lots of greenery and one can see the waters of river Ravi .
