Baba Chamliyal

Located approximately 40 kilometers from Jammu and 17 kilometers from Samba town, the Baba Chamliyal Shrine stands as a radiant symbol of interfaith unity . Situated on the international border with Pakistan, this revered site hosts an annual fair (mela) in June-July, commemorating the life and legacy of Baba Dalip Singh Manhas.
Devotees from across Jammu and Kashmir, Punjab, and Himachal Pradesh flock to the shrine in large numbers, transcending geographical and religious boundaries. The shrine's significance extends beyond borders, as Pakistani nationals, through their frontier guards, offer "Chaadar" (a ceremonial cloth) and collect Shakkar (sacred clay) and Sharbat (water from the shrine's well), believed to possess healing properties for serious ailments.
