Veer Bhadreshwar Mandir

Veer Badesar, also known as Veer Vadweshwar, is an ancient temple constructed by King Kanishka in 142 AD. This revered shrine is dedicated to Veer Vadweshavar, the son of Lord Shiva, who was born from Lord Shiva's tangled hair (Jata) when Goddess Sati self-immolated in response to her father King Daksh's humiliating words against Lord Shiva.
According to legend, Veer Vadweshavar avenged his mother's humiliation by defeating King Daksh, and later stayed in the village of Veer Vadweshar, which is now home to this historic temple.
