Pushkar nag

Pushkar nag

Pushkar Nag, a revered historical spring, is located east of Poshker village, nestled between Ferozpora and Khag in Budgam. This sacred site holds great significance for Kashmiri Pandits, who would gather here during the month of Sawan to perform the DiavaiPaath prayers. The spring is believed to possess spiritual powers, and priests would take a dip in its waters to seek blessings. The NilamataPurana, an ancient text, mentions Pushkar Nag, stating that a dip in its waters yields spiritual benefits equivalent to reciting the Vedas throughout the night. This mystical spring has been a hub of spiritual activity for centuries, attracting devotees seeking enlightenment and purification.
