Sudh Mahadev Mela

Dedicated to Lord Shiva, one of the most important religious events in the Jammu Province.
Various places of religious importance in Sub Division Chenani of district Udhampur, including Gauri-Kund, Sudh Mahadev Temple, and Pap Nashni Bowli.
The Sudh Mahadev Mela is a three-day festival that takes place in June every year. During the festival, devotees of Lord Shiva visit Gauri-Kund, take a bath in the holy water, and offer prayers at the nearby Temple of Goddess Parvati. They also pay obeisance at the Sudh Mahadev Temple, which is dedicated to Lord Shiva, after bathing in the sin destroying springs (Pap Nashni Bowli) situated near the temple.
